LAWA activewear is a high-performance activewear brand, designed to leave no trace. That means that all our clothes are fully biodegradable and non-toxic to you and our planet. Hence our slogan: From nature, to you, then back to nature.
Our goal
The activewear industry has a serious problem: 100% of all high-performance activewear is made of plastic. Even the ‘non-toxic’ activewear brands rely on elastane (spandex) - a plastic polymer essential for elasticity. While it gives activewear its shape, it releases thousands of toxic microplastics into our waterways when being washed, playing a significant role in microplastic pollution. LAWA was founded with the purpose of giving people the option to not contribute to microplastic pollution, even when needing to buy high-performance activewear.
Roadmap to launch
Founded in 2025, we are currently in our custom fabric development stage. At this stage, we are testing different fabric compositions and knitting structures to find the best match for our high-performance goal. The first stage of our plastic-free journey was researching and sourcing innovative fibers, and finding a sustainable, GOTS-certified mill to work with. We are happy to say that we have found the perfect partner mill that takes sustainability just as seriously as us.
In the meantime, your input is shaping our final decisions. We are using this development period to listen to our community, ensuring that when we do launch, we produce only what is truly wanted. After this stage, we will be ready to start our pre-launch journey, where the garments will be a direct reflection of our community’s needs.
